VEF Fellows are recipients of the Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) fellowship. The fellowship program of VEF started in 2003 and has been continuously growing in scale. Its mission is to bring Vietnamese scholars to the United States to pursue graduate studies at several leading schools in science and technology.

We currently have a community of over 230 fellows attending more than 50 schools in 27 states across the United States. As the majority of us are pursuing a doctoral degree, the first class of graduates will be expected in numbers in the next year or two. Some fellows in the masters track have already finished their graduate programs and either came back to work in Vietnam or continued to pursue higher degrees in the States.

As part of the mission of the fellowship program, we have a strong commitment to the development and advance of science and technology in Vietnam. As a significant number of fellows are university lecturers or have connections with major educational and research institutions in Vietnam, we believe that we will have several opportunities to cooperate with the scientific community and together with them make some positive difference.

As a young and energetic Vietnamese group, we want to be a positive part of the larger network of Vietnamese student bodies and social groups. It is an exciting time for us to present ourselves to the world, and explore the opportunities of working together toward a better future for us all and for the larger community in Vietnam.
